MISSION

Through canoeing and kayaking we will:

Better aquaint the diverse peoples and cultures of the world with one another so that they might develop a healthier mutual respect.

Set aside Nationalism our participants view human beings from nowhere in particular which puts each participant in touch with their core humanity with their core selves.

Lessen the struggle of women and enable them to command respect and equality through the diplomacy of paddle sport. By introducing the ideals and visions of the International Olympic Committee, the World Paddle Sport Foundation will provide leadership to women from Muslim and Arab lands.

PURPOSE

To provide a healthy way of life to all people of all nationalities, religious affiliations, color, while maintaining cultural and religious dress needs in canoes and kayaks. This will allow more opportunities to represent their nations in upcoming Olympic Games, in the various Olympic Disciplines of Canoeing and Kayaking.

By focusing on spreading the opportunities to women around the world, the World Paddle Sport Foundation will lessen the gender gap in sports under the International Olympic Committee and most specifically the International Canoe Federation (ICF), which oversees Olympic Participation in water sport.

A required Gender Equity Issue has been passed by the IOC to eliminate the gaps in gender in all sports. Canoeing and Kayaking is among the worst in gender equality with women commanding a mere 20 percent of positions in the Olympics. The World Paddle Sport Foundation is committed to helping fix this as just one of our outlooks, internationally.

The focus within Olympic Sport is to provide mentoring opportunities for women in paddle sport, thus bridging the gap in gender equality and lack of women’s leadership in our sports. We will provide opportunities to see the Olympic Solidarity Goals and to participate in the Olympic Games and World Championships in all Paddle Sports (Slalom, Sprint, Dragon Boat, Rowing.. Etc.).
